Augmentation Rhinoplasty with Orthognathic Surgery

There is a
larger proportion of Asian patients seeking augmentation rhinoplasty as
compared to their Caucasian counterparts who often request for reduction
rhinoplasty. This is because the nasal morphology of the Asian patient often
presents with shallow dorsums. A variety of augmentation materials are
available to increase the dorsal height of the nose. This lecture will discuss
various aspects of augmentation rhinoplasty, types of graft materials available and potential
pitfalls to avoid during simultaneous rhinoplasty and orthognathic surgery.
